SEARAN exhibited at Bluetooth World 2017 in Santa Clara on March 28-29, 2017. The show demonstrated a growing interest in the latest Bluetooth 5.0 specification. From IP providers, to silicon manufacturers, to product designers, everybody is anticipating the new capabilities of 5.0 technology – voice and audio, increased data throughput and longer distances. The Mesh technology, which specification is to be released imminently, is also in great demand.

SEARAN and Synopsys had a joint demo of efficient wireless connectivity for IoT SoC with the complete Bluetooth Low Energy IP solution co-developed by Synopsys and SEARAN. The demo featured SEARAN’s software stack and profiles, running on Synopsys DesignWare ARC® EM Processor with Synopsys’ DesignWare® Bluetooth® Low Energy PHY and Link Layer IP solutions integrated with.

SEARAN’s customer, Enovation Controls, had a demonstration of their RIDE COMMAND infotainment system in the Audio Feature Zone.

In spite of the enormous demand for 5.0 BLE capabilities, the generic Bluetooth, BR/EDR remains strong especially in more sophisticated audio-voice-data applications, where the SEARAN’s smallest on the market stack footprint, flexibility, portability and excellent support remains very attractive to product developers.
